West Group is pleased to announce the newest training modality - a targeted and more flexible way for expats to do their Recognized Brazilian NR training in the United States or Worldwide.
The West Group was the first company in the Offshore Industrial Training sector in Brazil to be certified in accordance to ISO 9001:2000 and being audited by the ABNT at this time. Recently has obtained its re-certification (ISO 9001:2008) by a renowned international agency DNV. Undoubtedly, the privilege to be recognized by both is something that makes reference to our company with regarding to compliance of technical standards, which certifies the quality of the training offered.
The West Group has the certification of the DPC – Department of Ports and Coasts/ Brazilian Navy, for the course of CBSP (Security in Platform Basic Course), and also for the course of GMDSS – Maritime Safety and Aid Global System. Both courses, recognized in the entire world, are also accepted by Petrobras and certified by the Panamanian Maritime Authority.
The West Group is associated with NFPA – National Fire Protection Association, a world authority on fire prevention, fire fighting and procedures for work with high risk.
The reference to West Group is IMO – International Maritime Organization, and the STCW-95, which is an international training standard for seafarers.
Our Training Center and courses are recognized and accredited by the: Panama, Marshal and Liberia Maritime Authority, thus it is regularly inspected by this well-known and respected authority.

FIRST AID COURSE
Qualify the student for the task of first aid care on board, in accordance with paragraph 5.4 of Resolution A-891 (21), 25/11/1999, International Maritime Organization, Regulation VI / 4 of the STCW-International Convention 1978 as amended, Section A-VI / 4 and Table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW Code-1998 and its amendments.
Emergency and first approach victims. The rescuer must have skill and ability to identify and accurately assess what should be done with common sense and efficiency. This professional may act only on offshore units.
Non-professional crew (PNT) mobile offshore units (MOU).
The course will be given in 52 hours over 6 and a half days.
The course is valid for 5 years, according to IMO.
