FIRE BRIGADE INTERMEDIATE - 20 HOURS

PURPOSE

Provide components of fire brigades of skills and knowledge about the chemistry of fire, safe techniques of fire fighting tasks of the brigade, fire prevention and enable them to operate the fire fighting equipment.

KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED
• Know the general objectives of the course and conduct of Brigadista ;
• Know the legal aspects related to the liability of Brigadista ;
• Know combustion, its elements, functions , fire temperatures ( flash point, ignition and combustion ) and the chain reaction ;
• Know the ways of spread of fire ;
• Identify and recognize the classes of fire ;
• Know the methods of extinction and their applications ;
• Apply and know the extinguishing agents and their characteristics;
• Use correctly and meet PPE required ;
• Understand and operate fire fighting equipment , their applications , handling and inspections ;
• Know detection equipment , alarm and communication , the most common means of systems and handling;
• Identify ways to drive and decommissioning of equipment ;
• Know the techniques of abandonment area , exit organized meeting places and call control and panic ;
• Learn techniques to approach , care and conduct in accordance with the emergency plan of the plant ;
• Assess and recognize impending risks , mechanisms of injury , the number of victims and the physical examination of these ;
• Know the signs and symptoms of obstruction in adults , children and babies conscious and unconscious , and promote clearance ;
• Understand and apply CPR techniques for adults , children and infants ;
• Know equipment semi - automatic external defibrillation early ;
• Know the signs , symptoms of shock ;
• Apply techniques for prevention and treatment of shock ;
• Know the techniques of hemostasis ;
• Applying techniques to contain hemorrhages ;
• Know the open and closed fractures ;
• Apply techniques of immobilization ;
• Identify the types of injuries located ;
• Apply specific care for injuries ;
• Know the types and degrees of burns ;
• Apply the techniques and procedures help burn ;
• Know syncope, seizures, stroke , dyspnea , hyper and hypotensive crises , AMI , diabetes and hypoglycemia ;
• Apply the techniques of emergency medical care ;
• Know the techniques of transporting victims and clinics with suspected traumatic spinal injury ;
• Apply the techniques of handling, removal and transportation of the victim;
• Discuss the risks specific plan for emergencies and fire plant ;
• Know the reaction of people in emergency situations .
SCOPE OF WORK

This professional can play in the prevention and combating of fire principle, abandoning the area and first aid in order in case of accident, to protect life and property, reduce the social consequences of the loss and damage to the environment.

TARGET PUBLIC

Professionals who wish to belong to the fire brigade and others who have an interest in gaining knowledge and profile to act as multipliers.

REQUIREMENTS

Having more than 18 years, having good physical condition and good health and be literate. Candidates for training should be in minimum conditions of physical, attested by medical examination or equivalent to be considered fit to perform the exercises and simulations provided in the course.

METHODOLOGY

Theoretical analysis, practical exercises and application of procedures in practice.

DURATION

The course will be taught in 20 hours.

VALIDITY

The recommended course is valid for 1 year, according to NBR 14,276.
