West Group is pleased to announce the newest training modality - a targeted and more flexible way for expats to do their Recognized Brazilian NR training in the United States or Worldwide.
The West Group was the first company in the Offshore Industrial Training sector in Brazil to be certified in accordance to ISO 9001:2000 and being audited by the ABNT at this time. Recently has obtained its re-certification (ISO 9001:2008) by a renowned international agency DNV. Undoubtedly, the privilege to be recognized by both is something that makes reference to our company with regarding to compliance of technical standards, which certifies the quality of the training offered.
The West Group has the certification of the DPC – Department of Ports and Coasts/ Brazilian Navy, for the course of CBSP (Security in Platform Basic Course), and also for the course of GMDSS – Maritime Safety and Aid Global System. Both courses, recognized in the entire world, are also accepted by Petrobras and certified by the Panamanian Maritime Authority.
The West Group is associated with NFPA – National Fire Protection Association, a world authority on fire prevention, fire fighting and procedures for work with high risk.
The reference to West Group is IMO – International Maritime Organization, and the STCW-95, which is an international training standard for seafarers.
Our Training Center and courses are recognized and accredited by the: Panama, Marshal and Liberia Maritime Authority, thus it is regularly inspected by this well-known and respected authority.

Medical certificate attesting good physical and mental health; Presentation of certificate of completion of high school or technical course - for enabling ALPH; Certificate of completion of elementary school - for enabling BOMBAV;
Note: For units uninhabited, the professionals Technicians of Petroleum Area should equally participate in this training, being considered as an ALPH.
1) Who can take the course of HLO? Everyone can do the course if they have at least the CBSP and a basic course of Fire Fighting.
2) What is the course validity? The course is valid for 2 years.
3) Where can I act professionally? In Offshore Units, Drilling, Private heliports, Aerodromes, Air Taxi Company.
4) I graduated in BOMBAV because I had only primary education. If I finish high school, I do need to take the course again to graduate in ALPH? Or can I wait to renew, and renew as ALPH? The person who graduated in BOMBAV,do not need to do another course for ALPH since she is not cast in this role (ALPH). On this case, you can wait until the expiration of such validity.
5) With this course, I can also operate at airports? Yes. You can work at airports in small and medium businesses.
6) I only have the BST (Basic Safety Training) course . Can I take the course of HLO? Yes. For this course is required complete elementary school for BOMBAV, complete High school for ALPH and basic course in fire fighting, which in this case, is a included module in the course of BST (Basic Safety Training).
